On Foot, by Subway, by Bus, or by car…
MTA: Subway & Bus
Fare for most riders on subways and local, limited, and Select Bus Service buses: $2.75.
Express buses cost $6.75.
Pay with a MetroCard or use contactless payment where OMNY readers are available.
Subway access is plentiful via most of the city's subway lines and the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) stops at Flatbush Avenue. There is a LIVE Subway map that includes train schedules and location/destination that is very helpful. Check out the route here. http://www.mta.info/nyct/service/gline.htm
This station has a full-length mezzanine above the platforms and tracks supported by yellow Ibeam columns. The center of the mezzanine is outside fare control and has a token booth and two street stairs at each end. The ones on the west (railroad south) go up to the northeast and southwest corners of Clinton and Lafayette Avenues while the ones on the east (railroad north) end go up to either eastern corner of Washington and Lafayette Avenues. The center of the mezzanine also has a bank of turnstiles, two exit-only turnstiles, and two staircases going down to each platform.
At either end of the mezzanine are unstaffed entrances/exits containing two exit-only turnstiles, one high entry/exit turnstile, and one staircase to each platform. Both fare control areas have a crossover that allows a free transfer between directions. A short staircase is required to reach the center mezzanine from the Clinton Avenue fare control area due to a higher ceiling.
Taking the BUS , hmmm- I just don’t recommend if you are located in Fort Greene. It is actually much faster to walk from Greene Ave to Fulton Street and find all connections to transit there. However, if you are located in Clinton Hill and do not want to go underground via subway, the B38 is your best option.
It is really a hop, skip and a jump away from The Atlantic Terminal where Atlantic Terminal, formerly called Flatbush Avenue, is the westernmost stop on the Long Island Rail Road's (LIRR) Atlantic Branch, located at Flatbush Avenue and Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, New York City. It is the primary terminal for the Far Rockaway, Hempstead, and, on weekdays, West Hempstead Branches.
Atlantic Terminal is connected to the New York City Subway's Atlantic Avenue – Barclays Center complex, which is served by the 2 3 4 5 B D N Q R trains. Buses serving outside the complex include B41, B45, B63, B65, and B67 The rail terminal is adjacent to and below the Atlantic Terminal mall (Pathmark Grocery Store & Target are located here!), and near the Barclays Center, Brooklyn Academy of Music. Please check out MTA website for more info about Rail, Subway and Bus Logistics.
